Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. While working with Maker Kits, students build mechanical, artistic, and engineering skills and learn to act as inventors in their own right. With small classes capped at 12 students across three courts, you'll receive personalized instruction and plenty of hands-on practice to quickly build confidence and foundational skills. We'll start with the basics: From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take home lots of gadgets! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! Please Note: Classes will not take place on half-days or holidays. In the event of a schedule change or class cancellation, the Enrichment team will notify families as soon as possible. Slime-Tastic with KidCreate StudioYouth & Teen EnrichmentIt’s a slime takeover!In this camp, slime is the main event. We’ll explore different slime recipes as we create tons of gooey, sparkly, stretchy, messy goo. From an out-of-this-world glitter solar system slime, confetti cake slime and bubblegum scented slime, we’ll make a different slime during each day of camp. We’ll even throw in a little painting and sculpting on the side! Roll up your sleeves, and get ready for the Slime-Tastic time you’ve been waiting for!
